In 2018 three associations all with a focus on incentive travel  came together to create the first  pan-industry survey of the sector in the world today. Join the leadership of Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) and Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP) for an intriguing, insightful and intelligent deep dive into the findings from this survey, the biggest research project involving the incentive travel industry by volume and geographical spread ever conducted.

Lori Cioffi 

Assistant Vice President/Chief Content Director, Northstar Meeting Group

 

Lori Cioffi joined Northstar as a reporter for Travel Weekly, later moving to Meetings & Conventions as editor in chief. She also helmed the magazine’s Asia/Pacific edition. Lori currently oversees all digital, event and print content for M&C, M&C/Asia, M&C/China, Successful Meetings, Incentive, Meeting News and Sports Travel. She has represented the meetings brands around the world at events, as a speaker, and on advisory boards, and has guided the brands to dozens of editorial awards. 

Lori, who is based in New York, currently serves on the board of the Meetings Mean Business Coalition.

Steve O'Malley
CITP, President, Maritz Travel

As division president of Maritz Travel – A Maritz Global Events Company, Steve O’Malley is passionate about the meetings and incentive travel industry and helping transform people and business through the event experience. He is an industry veteran and visionary with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of roles from onsite support as a travel director to leading nearly 1,000 associates in the day-to-day operation of one of the industry’s leading companies. Steve is committed to advancing Maritz Travel, its employees and the industry. He is a champion of the company’s experience design thinking and Unleashing Human Potential initiative, which are both helping Maritz Travel differentiate itself in the market. Under his leadership, Maritz Travel has nearly doubled its book of business over the last three years. In 2016, Steve joined the MPI Board of Directors to help drive the strategy for the future of the association and is Chair-Elect in 2018.

Janet Traphagen
President of Creative Group

Janet has been in the hospitality industry for over 25years. Today as President of Creative Group, Inc, a CMI Top 25 incentive firm, she maintains responsibility for all sales, marketing, operational and execution activity within the organization. She joined Creative Group in 1996 in an operations role as Account Manager. In 1999, she transitioned into sales as an Account Executive and in 2004 was promoted to Vice President/Account Executive. During her tenure as an Account Executive, she was recognized as “AE of the Year” in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 and served on the company’s Management Committee and Sales Management Team.  Janet has served on the Starwood Advisory Council and is a frequent contributor on industry panel discussions with Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton and Marriott Hotels. She is also a member of the Sales Management Summit, a board for senior sales executives and NAPW (National Association of Professional and Executive Women).

John Iannini

John’s 30-year career in the incentive travel industry includes running his own 3rd party incentive travel agency before joining Wyndham Hotels.  His expertise in global meetings and events is key in leading Meliá’s field-based sales team to develop business from all group market segments.

Shelia Cleary
AVP, Recognition and Conferences, National Life Group, Montpelier, VT

Shelia R. Cleary is AVP, Recognition and Conferences for National Life Group.  Joining the company in 2009, her responsibilities include leading all conference and incentive development for National Life Group, a multi-billion dollar insurance and financial services company.  She also has oversight of corporate travel for the company, and management of a 12 room Guesthouse at the headquarters location in Vermont. Her professional activities have included serving on the Board of Directors of FICP where she provided strategic direction, set policy, and financial oversight.
