My passion(s) for our industry which I envision contributing most in this role is….

I am very passionate about our Incentive Travel Industry and SITE. I love being part of this human centered business with people with different backgrounds, cultures, age and nationalities. A great opportunity to exchange, to learn and to contribute to our industry.
Since my childhood I have lived in various parts in the world (Italy, Portugal, France, Monaco, Angola). This multi cultural experience, combined with the typical international and innovative spirit and open-mindedness of the dutch, and my holistic and humanistic approach, helps me to connect, interact , inspire and engage with people and teams- and to fulfill strategic goals set, and drive engagement.

I bring the following qualifications and experience to this position:

The first time I got to learn more on Site was during the organization of the SITE University in Florence in the '90's, assisting Site Italy President with the organization. But it took upto 2002 to become a real SITE member, and to really expand my skills, to grow ( professionally and personally), and to grow my network being actively part of the "SITE family"

In these 20 years I have seen SITE to continue to evolve and grow through the strong leadership and governance of the Presidents and their boards, and the SITE Foundation.

I have served on the Site Italy Chapter in various positions also as Site Chapter President; on International level serving on the SITE Emea forum in Florence and Berlin; co-chair on the Global Conference in Panama in 2016; Membership committee 2016, co-chair on the SITE MPI Global Forum in Rome in 2018 and SITE Digital Transformation and Sustainability Committee in 2019.

Winner of the Jane E. Schuldt SITE Master Motivator award in 2018. Having a broad experience in the hospitality industry and in particular in the Event Management, DMC and Incentive Agency I am able to leverage my global connections and experience within SITE and to SITE's President and board to support SITE's goals, objectives, vision, mission and purpose

My primary reason for wanting to serve on the SITE Board is….

SITE has definitively shaped my career through education, networking events and the many friendships created over the 17 years of membership. I would like to give back serving on the international board, to an industry what has given and still gives me much. I am very committed to advancing sustainability and sustainable values within our industry, as an industry we can make an impact by doing business responsibly and accelerate sustainable development.

If I am elected, I hope to achieve the following:

  • To represent the European members within SITE, and to give professional support to members
  • To strengthen the brand SITE (mission, vision and values) and increase the engagement of the European members with SITE
  • Elevate and communicate effectively SITE value proposition and Bangkok Manifesto to members, potential members, stakeholders and industry.
  • To deepen the communication and engagement with the members and potential members. In particular attracting also corporate members, and continue to spread the word of the importance of Incentive Travel and Motivational Events
  • More initiatives and regular engagement with Site Young Leaders in Europe
  • Initiate more actions in Europe to support Ecpat ( Human Trafficking ), Gender Equity and Women empowerment
  • To drive sustainable values and development within our industry
  • Solidify and expand SITE certification programs in Europe
  • Continued exchange and dialogue with other leading industry associations

My passion(s) for our industry which I envision contributing most in this role is….

Since joining SITE I have been struck by the passion of its members and the willingness to collaborate and share knowledge. There is a dedication in the SITE community to put aside personal gains and strive for the future success of the industry. It is this passion and dedication that drives me to become further involved in the community and utilize my skills and knowledge to build upon our human network. Using my knowledge of strategic marketing and expertise within digital marketing, I hope that we can create a digital environment that will complement our human network and support the future.

I will bring the following qualifications and experience to this position:

Since graduating with a BA Hons in Business Management and Marketing at the University of Stirling I have spent the past 11 years developing my skills within marketing across a range of sectors including manufacturing, logistics and oil & gas. In 2015 I joined Penguins, an events agency and incentive travel house in the UK as marketing manager. Over the years I have undertaken many professional courses including google garage, hubspot marketing and Sixth Sigma Green belt to ensure that I can effectively deliver within my role. My experience lays within creating and delivering measurable, strategic marketing campaigns that deliver results, with a specific emphasis on the digital environment. It is these skills particularly that I hope will benefit the SITE community, not only for my immediate if I am given the honor of being elected but long into the future. It is my hope that my knowledge and skills will help to actualise the dreams of the SITE community and 1800, by connecting digital and human through a multichannel strategy.

My primary reason for wanting to serve on the SITE Board is….

I would find it incredibly rewarding to put my skills and experience into promoting travel as a motivational tool through the SITE organisation knowing that the long term benefits are far more than financial gain for a business. The dedication to promote education and deliver value beyond financial gains is one that is aligned closely to my own personal values. Through my knowledge and experience in strategic marketing I would hope that I could further support the SITE community through the delivery of core messaging to relevant audiences and working with the wider community to ensure that we create a digital presence that can do justice to the fantastic human network that has already been built.

If I am elected, I hope to achieve the following:

I wish to continue the work which has been started in delivering a digital presence for our community that complements our existing human network. As a marketer it is my role to understand the needs, challenges and desires of target audiences and ensure that the business I work with delivers solutions designed to meet these, which in turn ensures the business remains relevant and ensures the longevity in success. It would be my absolute honor to serve our industry by supporting SITE members and prospect members to achieve their business / personal goals by supporting SITE Global in delivering a strategy that will consolidate our strengths, adapt to change and continue to remain relevant and in doing this will drive our industry and its members forward.

My passion(s) for our industry which I envision contributing most in this role is…

Travel makes the world a better place and as SITE members we are fortunate serve the industry of incentive travel. An incentive travel program, if executed properly, is a win win for everyone and just like a well-executed incentive travel program, volunteering with SITE provides members with a win-win experience. Volunteering with SITE provides:

    • Access to educational content which members can use to invest in themselves.
    • An outlet to be creative
    • Global connections and outstanding networking opportunities
    • The ability to produce the very best programs with rewarding benefits through SITE connections and resources

SITE needs our members to be active and engaged, to find belonging through volunteerism. I am passionate about showing value of incentive travel and how incentive travel professionals can invest in themselves and the industry through volunteering. As an international board member, my mission would be to maximize the connection of our members with these opportunities.

I bring the following qualifications and experience to this position:

Professionally I have 15 years of experience in incentive travel. I’m National Sales Manager at Hornblower Cruises & Events, a longtime supporter of SITE and found my position with the company through SITE. I’ve also worked in destination management and event production.

I’m a faculty member at San Diego State University with the privilege of teaching a course on destination management services which includes educating students on the importance and impact of incentive travel.

In 2018, I was President of SITE SoCal, after serving in several other roles. It was an honor to serve in the 20th year anniversary of the chapter and during this time, one important goal was be sure the chapter is continuing to excel for many years to come. We started a Legacy Committee, which I am Chair, and are in program development. I currently serve on the SITE SoCal board as Immediate Past President.

My primary reason for wanting to serve on the SITE Board is….

I’ve found success and rewards personally and professionally through SITE. My primary reason for wanting to serve on the SITE board is to help others find this as well. I want to give back.

If I am elected, I hope to achieve the following:

SITE is in a position now to build on a foundation of great initiatives that have been set in place, and it is time to take things to the next level. As a candidate for the SITE board, I am hopeful to be able to work with chapters who are struggling and to help them to rejuvenate the excitement around incentive travel and become strong.

I also look forward to pushing communication and mentorship, these are key factors in helping people grow personally and professionally. Similar to the Young Leaders program, which began at a chapter level, I’d like to lead a global initiative to create a Legacy Program. The Legacy Program would honor and engage longtime members with advanced opportunities and resources, share knowledge through mentorship, and all while encouraging other members to stay involved long term and aim for board positions in their local chapter.

My passion(s) for our industry which I envision contributing most in this role is…

Act globally but think locally. This personally drives me through my day-to-day work, but specifically with SITE in mind. We not only have the opportunity to reach globally, but we are obligated to do so. SITE is the only international association in our industry and is relative in hospitality because we provide local, grass roots experiences, but give them a global platform. My passion is in connecting, educating, and the advocacy for our members to reach each other in ways to create business results.

I bring the following qualifications and experience to this position:

Each board member should bring a set of skills that compliment the make up of the board and I believe with my years of experience (Young Leaders Chair, Global Conference Chair and ISA Chair and Vice President of AIC Hotel Group), my communication style, willingness to step up, as well as my commercial and personal awareness, are qualifications that are extremely vital to our advancement. Through my undergraduate degree in communication studies, and a Master’s degree in Global Leadership, it has been a daily opportunity to refine. There are times, when the tough calls need to be made, and not only am I willing to raise my hand, but I want to be that person to push through because having a pulse on our industry, the companies, and our members is something I hold as a top priority.

My primary reason for wanting to serve on the SITE Board is….

I truly believe in pushing the envelop; to provide out of the box creative thinking, jaw dropping moments, and head turning education. My primary reason to serve on the SITE Board is to keep asking, “What can we do better, what more can we give”? We are SITE, YOU are SITE, and this is the forum to take our motivational experiences to the next level, therefore, if elected I will keep those questions at the forefront, so that we sustain and expand our SITE footprint.

If I am elected, I hope to achieve the following:

Education during SITE sanctioned events, local chapter events, and outside conferences sponsored by SITE are all opportunities to provide content to our members, but today, unless someone actually attends, receiving that education is virtually impossible. Therefore with every session produced or sponsored by SITE, we budget, we record to again, give value to members. With our digital transformation that is almost complete, we must make that content available to our members; especially to those members that do not have any chapters near them and rely on what is delivered to them. Secondly, we need to provide true unique activations of exposure to our sponsors; logos don’t give touch points sponsors can measure their ROI. Lastly, I want our chapter communication to be more efficient and listen more to what our chapters are doing. Let’s bridge this gap and stop reinventing the wheel.

If you are a sitting SITE IBOD Member, what has been your contribution to the association? And why do you feel you are deserving of a second term?

SITE is a way of doing business, the only arena in the marketplace. I have lived the SITE lifestyle since I began in this industry and my contribution has been my everything; commitment to the cause, raising the SITE flag, and believing in the product both financially and whole heartedly. Now to run again for this high valued director’s role, I know that it’s time to take the next step, because this SITE journey is not yet complete. As mentioned previously, “What more can we give”, and for me, I want to represent you and continue to expand on the work over these past three years and move forward to eventually becoming your SITE President. It has been a goal of mine to serve with you on this board and I look forward to working with each member to keep SITE as the global leader in the incentive travel industry.

My passion(s) for our industry which I envision contributing most in this role is…

Since becoming a member in 2000 the benefits of such a strong organization become eminent, rather quickly. The networking and comradery has translated not only for a member to grow professionally but also into an increase in business opportunities. The kindness of each member from around the globe is an opportunity to increase one’s self worth. I was fortunate to be involved in the beginning of the Young Leaders Program. Each day in this industry is a new, unique, and different…….Each experience has provided a new lesson that I can carry-on and share with me fellow members.

Within my 27 years in the Meetings & Incentive world. I have the opportunity to work for several different sectors. The Cruise Industry has always been my passion, but have also had the opportunity to work in hotels, resorts, and even air charters. Parallel I have been a loyal member of site for over 19 years. The rewarding experience includes 14 years on local chapter BOD, Chair of an international conference, liaison of starting chapters, speaker in Dallas and Canada meetings.

My primary reason for wanting to serve on the SITE Board is….

I would like the opportunity to give back to an association that has provided all these years of invaluable lessons. My two main objectives support of local chapters and the continued success of the Young Leaders program.

If I am elected, I hope to achieve the following:

In my role as a SITE Board Member, I look to increase support for local chapters. Find ways to increase Members in the Buyers sector, as this will give suppliers more of an ROI when attending events. Continue programs where stronger chapters can help second or third tiers become stronger. Would like to see Young Leaders program once again be a stand-alone, conference.

If you are a sitting SITE IBOD Member, what has been your contribution to the association? And why do you feel you are deserving of a second term?

I would be honored to be elected to a second term with the IBOD. I have learned a lot and we are really on a great path with the initiatives that we have set in motion . I feel that continuity in these objectives is important. Currently, I am involved with several SITE initiatives including Women in Leadership committee (incoming chair 2020); SITE ISA (chair 2020); Chapter Resource Council working to develop a best practices manual for all chapters to use as a guideline, also identifying struggling chapters & determining how we can best help our members to get the most out of SITE. I am part of the SITE Mentor to Mentor program, currently working with three mentees, and am on the Hosted buyer committee identifying quality attendees for our events. I wish to dedicated time and efforts to the membership development of SITE Global, enhancement of education, increase of incentive as well as sustainability awareness and best practices, support to the Site Foundation and the increase of suppliers and planners’ impactful events, connections, networking and interactions always towards SITE’s strategic goals.

If I am elected, I hope to achieve the following:

I will dedicate my time and best efforts to determine adequate policies for the benefit of the membership and make decisions for the overall good and development of SITE.

I will gladly carry on any mission the IBOD will assign me and as always perform at the best of my ability in order to not only deliver but exceed the desired results.
