“Our industry transforms business and people through the incenive travel experience...Our work in noble...We drive business results...We are a force for good” so writes Steve O’Malley, HMCC, CITP, Division President, Maritz Travel in his introduction to The Bangkok Manifesto, SITE’s 10 statements on the nature, purpose and direction of incentive travel.

Created at SITE’s Global Conference in Bankok, Thailand in January, the Manifesto has now been published in hard copy with the addition of written commentary on each of the 10 statements from industry experts in several disciplines—DMC and DMO sectors, hospitality sector, thrid party planners and corporate end-users including Microsoft and LegalShield.

The Manifesto was created following a series of workshops with the facilitation of Martin Sirk, former executive director of ICCA, along with SITE’s international board of directors, trustees of the SITE Foundation and a cohort of global experts in the field of incentive travel.

The final 10 statements of the Bangkok Manifesto were then crowd sourced with the full SITE Global conference assembly using Slido, the on-line, audience engagement platform.

Supported by Meet in Ireland, the Bangkok Manifesto will be a core reference point for incentive travel professionals throughout the year.

“Only SITE – the “I” in MICE – has the authority to produce a manifesto about incentive travel, articulating its true purpose and identifying its tremendous value within the ever-changing business world today,” said SITE President Philip Eidsvold, CIS, CITP, VP Strategic Alliances, One10.

SITE’s CEO Didier Scaillet added: “We are reaching out beyond the SITE membership and our industry into the business world positioning incentive travel as the most effective tool for improving business performance and travel as a transformative agent for positive change.”

The 10 statements can be found on the SITEGlobal.com website and in the “deluxe” hard bound edition, complete with commentary from experts in incentive travel. Pick up your copy at the SITE Booth (F750) at IMEX or, alternatively, please contact: PádraicGilligan, Chief Marketing Officer, SITE (pgilligan@siteglobal.com) or Jennifer Juergens, Director of Industry and Media Relations (jjuergens@siteglobal.com)
