In 2000 she founded L'Isolabella Eventia. SITE: What motivated you to assume a Chapter Leader position?
Doriana: As a member of SITE since 2007, the constant education, qualified international exposure through the use of SITE logo, networking that sometimes turned into business co-operation and even into new friendships, have all been tangible benefits for me. As a chapter leader I wanted to give back.
SITE: When recruiting new members, what do you tell them are the greatest personal and professional benefits of being a member of SITE?
Doriana: Professional development through qualified education and first hand-experience; business connections and industry recognition are personal and professional benefits new members can really achieve through their active membership.
SITE: What are some of the educational activities and events your chapter is doing in 2015 to engage current and prospective members?
Doriana: The SITE Italy board reached out to some of the other global chapters for help to create webinars focused on how incentive travel and motivational experiences are evolving in some of the markets of great appeal for our members and the Italian meeting industry. India, Mexico, Brasil and USA are at the top of our list.
Nitin Sachdeva, who is serving as member of the Host Committee for this year’s SITE Global Conference in India, and SITE Mexico President, David Dìaz both offered us their enthusiastic feedback and availability to organize and lead these webinars. The content for both webinars is intriguing and offer a rich source of useful information for members and non-members who aim to work properly with these markets and fulfill delegates’ expectations.
Nitin Sachdeva from SITE India will present the first webinar, Focus on India, on 8 July at 12.00 Italian time. He will share information about India's outbound incentive travel and motivational experiences and provide crucial information to attract this growing market and build winning proposals. Topics will include outbound Market profile and trends, customer insight including key MICE players, key corporate clients and decision making factors, business etiquette’s & negotiation processes and insights into the service needs of the Indian traveller. Participants can register for the webinar by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
Additionally, to attract and motivate young leaders, we are planning an innovative project called SITE Campus on Event Management and Motivational Experiences, pursuing some challenging, but extremely qualifying learning and strategic objectives at the local and national level. We look forward to sharing more about this project as soon as all pieces of the complex puzzle are in place.
