A special message from 2014 SITE President Paul Miller

Paul Miller podium.jpgIn just a few weeks we will welcome in a new year. Although I will no longer be serving as SITE President I will continue to proudly sit on the SITE International Board of Directors supporting new SITE President, Rhonda Brewer and the 2015 board comprised of incentive travel industry leaders from around the globe.

2014 was the “call to action” year as SITE implemented the first year of our “Painted Picture” strategic plan. We successfully rebranded our association, changing our name, logo and taglines to reinforce SITE’s position on the world stage as the voice supporting the use of incentive travel as a vital business tool. We strengthened relationships with our strategic partners, added new partners and introduced a new sponsorship prospectus. We developed and debuted a new incentive travel education curriculum with the help and financial support of the SITE Foundation. Most important, we increased our global membership with more than 45 percent of our members located in 84 countries outside the U.S. mainland.

There is a newfound energy, spark and optimism within our association and our industry that I am proud to have played a part in driving this year. There is always more to do but I leave the presidency with confidence that we have a solid plan and path ahead that will sustain the momentum created in 2014.

My thanks go to SITE Foundation President, Kurt Paben and the Foundation Board of Trustees for their support of all of the new initiatives introduced this year. I also want to thank you for your contributions to the SITE Foundation in 2014. Please continue to support the Foundation’s fund-raising events, as many of SITE’s new initiatives would not be possible without your commitment.

At the SITE Global Conference in Rotterdam my message to SITE members was to get engaged and grow, both personally and professionally, through active involvement with the SITE community. I presented my SITE journey as President in a pictorial way accompanied by an original song I wrote this year. I share this with hope that it will inspire you to become future leaders of our amazing association. Click here to view the video.

Thank you for your continued support of SITE. I hope to see you at various SITE events in 2015.
Happy holidays to you and your family,
