Meetings Mean Business Statement at AIBTM
Meetings Mean Business (MMB) campaign, a national communications and advocacy platform that showcases the substantial value of meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions, kicked off this year’s Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (AIBTM) conference with a panel comprised of industry leaders.
The panel consisted of: Larry Luteran, Senior Vice President of Group Sales and Industry Relations of Hilton Worldwide and co-chairof Meetings Mean Business, Roger Dow, President and CEO of U.S. Travel Association President, John Graham, President and CEO of American Society for Association Executives (ASAE), Kevin Hinton, Chief Staff Officer of Site Global, David DuBois, President and CEO of International Association of Events & Exhibitions (IAEE), Deborah Sexton, President and CEO of Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Paul Van Deventer, President and CEO of Meeting Professionals International President (MPI).
The panel discussion outlined current MMB initiatives, new and ongoing industry trends and sought to educate both the public and private sectors on the economic benefits of meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions. MMB also showcased the campaign’s new mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices.
