SITE Foundation Leaps into 2016

As the 2016 President of SITE Foundation, this is an exciting time for me to be stepping into this role to sustain the momentum created under Kurt Paben’s leadership. Year after year, the Foundation continues to advance our mission of enhancing the awareness and effectiveness of motivational experiences and incentive travel, thereby increasing use globally. This coming year, we will continue that charge.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to share a number of initiatives that the Foundation is spearheading. All of these initiatives align with the priorities set forth by the SITE International Board of Directors. With a joint approach and close collaboration between the two boards, you will see a lot of great accomplishments.

We will continue to offer new research that strengthens the business case for incentive travel starting with the January release of the 2015 SITE Index Study conducted in partnership with JD Power. This new study provides valuable insights regarding industry trends and the utilization of incentive travel to drive business results for companies around the world. I encourage you to kick off the year by attending the deep-dive results webinar scheduled for 8 February 2016 at 9am CSTWe are also planning a number of other research projects this year including a Participants Study India. Look for more information on all of these projects in the coming months.

The Foundation will continue providing funding and support for the development of SITE’s incentive travel education and certification curriculum. These vital offerings are evolving and expanding to ensure that you receive the best quality, most timely information and training needed to advance your career and grow your business.

We are also in the process of developing curriculum and training opportunities for future SITE leaders from within our chapters. If you’re looking to contribute to the success of SITE, I encourage you to seek out your local chapter and get involved. Getting involved in chapter activities is highly rewarding and the ideal place to grow your leadership skillset.

The Foundation would not be able to accomplish these initiatives without the support of our amazing sponsors and partners. We hope you will continue to support the Foundation’s fund-raising activities and events in 2016 as an individual or corporate contributor or by becoming a research or event sponsor.

We are further developing strategic partnerships and collaborations with sponsors and supporters to provide more opportunities and recognition for those committed to our mission and brand.

Join us this year as we continue to advance our industry. Please feel free to reach out to me, or any of my colleagues on the SITE Foundation Board of Trustees, with thoughts, ideas or questions. We look forward to working with you this year!
