It's a True Classic!
As you read this SITE Classic will be coming to a close at the utterly gorgeous Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina where nearly 300 incentive travel professionals gathered for 3 days to connect, discover, learn.
It’s the culmination of a year meticulous planning for John Iannini, SITE Foundation President, event co-chairs Michael Butler of Brightspot Incentives & Events and Geraldine Gatehouse of IMEX Group and, of course, the SITE ops team under Head of Events, Tina Gaccetta.
“SITE Classic is SITE Foundation’s headline event, the one we sign our name to," said John Iannini. “It showcases everything that an incentive travel experience should be, bringing industry professionals together in a truly motivational destination to connect, discover and learn. Our host hotel, Montage Palmetto Bluff, ticks off all the boxes. Right on the May River, and close to historic Savannah, it’s an astonishing property and doing business here is second nature.”
And, of course, business has been done at SITE Classic – it’s SITE Foundation’s primary fundraiser. Nearly $160,0000 was raised at Auction Extravaganza Live Auction that took place Thursday night at the Morris Center, in Savannah. Among the packages were “Gracious Living in Europe” – a 10 night tour of elegant Europe with first class air for two on Delta Air Lines and accommodations at Dorchester Collection properties in London, Paris and Milan and “Bucket List Peru” – air for two to Lima plus accommodations at Belmond properties, including a luxury train to Machu Picchu, one of the seven "wonders of the world".
If you were not among the attendees at SITE Classic, don’t worry, there’s also an on-line auction with equally extraordinary packages. You can access it here. Open until 21 October, the Sunday after IMEX America, all auction proceeds go to the SITE Foundation for investment in critical research and educational programming for incentive travel professionals.
