Each year, Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) brings together leaders from across the meetings, incentive and events industry showcasing the impact that business meetings, conferences, conventions and incentive travel have on people, business and communities.  Led by the Meetings Mean Business Coalition (MMBC), GMID brings together industry advocates across six continents and more than 40 countries to celebrate the industry’s business value and its $2.65 trillion in global economic impact.

“This year, we’re seeing outside participation at record levels – through GMID proclamations, events and statements of support. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outpouring of stats and stories shared online, in the media and among third-party validators and supporters,” says Trina Camacho-London, vice president of global group sales at Hyatt Hotels Corporation and MMBC co-chair.

"SITE is proud to participate with other MICE & Business Events associations in this increasingly global celebration of the power and value of live meetings, exhibitions and events and incentive travel experiences. SITE is the "I" in MICE, the only association dedicated exclusively to incentive travel professionals. Incentive travel is a powerful performance improvement tool that brings immense value to corporations and the individuals they reward with transformational travel experiences. GMID is a great opportunity to highlight and recognize the value that we bring to our industry, the business world and, indeed, society at large,” says Philip Eidsvold, CIS, CITP, SITE President & VP Strategic Alliances One10.
