SITE Poland Chapter, together with Accor Hotels Poland, organized business breakfast for the SITE members on October, 23, with the theme, "Our impact on people society and the planet”. The main subject was managing the food supply in hotels and help prevent food waste during group conferences at larger hotels.
The representatives of Accor Hotels presented to SITE members their hotel portfolio and focused on innovations that they implement in their properties. Executive chef of Hotel Novotel Centrum shared with the group the policy of the hotel in managing the food supplies and implementing less waste. Thanks to their determination they managed to reduce food waste by 50 percent! The example that is worth following.
This presentation gave members of SITE Poland an opportunity to discuss vital current issues in tourism like sustainability, zero waste and other innovations. Members shared their experience from the trips and projects they have organized and showed others how to make life healthier and more eco-friendly during incentive trips.
