Maritz Travel Prioritizes Incentive Travel Education
As one of the largest and oldest incentive companies, Maritz Travel has long been committed to providing continuing education for its team members. The company has intentionally invested in providing incentive travel education and certification opportunities to employees and supplier partners.
For three straight years Maritz Travel has offered the Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) course at their annual Collaborative, with nearly 400 Maritz Travel team members and supplier partners earning their CIS designation. In addition to CIS, Maritz Travel sponsored the Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP) exam at this year’s Collaborative. Twenty-one Maritz employees from sales, sourcing and leadership and two supplier partners were invited to sit for the exam.

The CITP designation is validation that incentive travel is a recognized profession and a unique sector in the overall business events industry.
