Chapters are the lifeblood of SITE providing an annual programme of networking and learning events for you within your region, nation or city. But chapters, too, are challenged by the impact of Covid-19 and have been forced to rethink their plans, moving them onto a digital platform.
Here’s a list for you of recent chapter events with links to the webinars and videos that were created for and by SITE members around the world.
SITE Africa
One of the first chapters to respond with Covid-19 related content, SITE South Africa organised an inspirational webinar entitled “You are not alone” featuring SITE Past President (2013), David Sand, SITE IBOD member, Daryl Keywood, SITE SA President, Tes Proos and SITE CEO, Didier Scaillet. Geared towards business owners, small and big, this webinar was all about thinking outside the box, reinventing ourselves, seeking out alternative revenue streams. Here is a link to this excellent webinar.
SITE Turkey
Under the baton of Chapter President Hasan Dinc, SITE Turkey threw a high octane, fun “happy hour” pyjama party, with an emphasis on positivity, the results of which can be found here.
SITE Great Britain
Last week SITE Great Britain, assisted by Sam McNeill and the great folks at songdivision, staged a highly creative happy hour, culminating with the crafting of a brand new SITE song with definite hit credentials. Hear it here.
SITE Northeast
SITE members in the Northeast chapter organised #SipwithSITE 2 weeks ago using
Zoom as their platform. They integrated some Q&A with Crowdpurr (a mix of fun / social questions and professional questions, like “Are you employed?”). The Q&A got the conversation going and provided a snapshot of what the industry in that region looks like.
#Sweatwith SITE (3 April) – Yoga
#Solve with SITE (10 April) – virtual escape room
SITE Chicago
Pyjamas were the attire of choice for SITE Chicago too who organised a free flowing event that evolved into people asking questions and chatting about their situation and how they were feeling. They also played Bingo with the winner receiving a pack of toilet paper.
SITE Midwest:
At the forefront of COVID19 member support, SITE Midwest hosted a webinar on March 11th titled “How to Handle Crisis in our Industry Fighting the Perception and Media Against the Facts, from Coronavirus to Fires to Just Plain Bad Press” and penned the hashtag #FactsOverFear. In a few short days, stay at home orders were issued throughout Europe and North America.
SITE Mexico:
Catering to the Spanish-speaking market, SITE Mexico is hosting twice-weekly
webinars throughout April on Monday & Wednesday mornings. Led by former IBOD member and current SITE Mexico president, Fernando Compean, these webinars are typically attracting more than 70 attendees and feature a variety of topics.
