Read what SITE leaders say about their experiences in Slovenia:

“Slovenia is a hidden jewel in Southern Europe with its snowcapped peaks and friendly people. Ljubljana is a wonderful city with everything at the fingertips. There are many airports close by so it is easy to reach from anywhere. You can have a 4-night program with once in a lifetime experiences. The hotel product is great and the gastronomy is amazing. It has all the elements to have a successful incentive trip, from the Postojna caves to the wine estates, to lake Bled which was really the pick of our days there.”

-Julia Trejo, CMP, CIS, DMCP, Director of Special Projects, Terramar Destinations

“I loved how you can walk through so much of Ljubljana. We saw this on the city tour, the team building activity and even going to evening events like in Ljubljana Castle – it was all walkable which is a great sell to clients. I was really impressed with how easy it was to get online for free at so many of the venues in Ljubljana – they all had wifi that was free and extremely easy to connect to.”

-Aoife Delaney, CIS, Director Global Sales, Ovation Global DMC

“Slovenia is a great incentive destination for a small to mid-size group from 20-60 guests. It can sustain a 5-night program or be easily paired with another country in Europe or city within Slovenia. It is extremely good value.”

-Rhonda Brewer, CIS, Vice-President Sales, Maritz Travel Company

“Slovenia is easily accessible and very affordable for clients considering a duo country program. The country’s commitment to clean and green living can be a very attractive feature to companies embracing this concept. Ljubljana is a small enough city that a program could “own” and utilize so many unique venues in imaginative ways. The proximity of the venues and even Ljubljana Castle were all within walking distance or a short transfer, which again makes the destination affordable. The city has unbelievable culinary experiences, coupled with delicious microbrews and wine offerings.”

          -Denise Dornfeld, CIS, Chairman, AlliedPRA

"Slovenia is well-priced, putting them perfectly in the mix for incentive buyers looking for less expensive European destinations. The air access is straightforward and Ljubljana is breathtaking with plenty to do and great venues for group events. It is a great destination for multi-city incentive travel program paired with another city in Europe such as Vienna or Venice.”
