Passage of Travel Promotion Act

The U.S. Travel Association recently announced the passage of the Travel Promotion Act. This development is the biggest commitment the U.S. government has made to support international travel to America, and the clearest indication to date that the United States Congress is taking travel seriously.

The Travel Promotion Act sends a message that the United States Congress values travel, and increased vigor must be made to promote the United States as a premier international travel destination. Visit the U.S. Travel Association Web site to learn more.

Site joined 19 Incentive Federation leaders who went to Washington D.C. on October 20 to raise awareness about the role of incentives in business at the Incentive Federation’s Legislative Symposium.  This was the Federation’s first proactive effort to educate Congress on the benefits of incentive programs.

Representatives from Site, IMA, PPAI, and RPI not only shared data on how incentive programs increase participation and meet goals in employee wellness and safety programs, but they also met individually with key staff for Senators Durbin, Grassley, Hatch, Schumer and Snowe, and Rep. Dahlkemper. With the government exploring strategies to revitalize the economy, our opportunity to showcase the power of incentive programs could not be better.
