Incentive Travel Exchange, held in partnership with Site, was held 20-22 June at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. With more than 6,250 one-to-one appointments and a record breaking number of RFPs exchanged, ITE again demonstrates is productivity as a platform to conduct real business. For the fourth consecutive year, ITE supplier positions were sold out with professionals from around the world representing hotels and resorts, spas, destinations, cruise lines, destination management companies and more. Attendees were North American incentive buyers representing high-volume domestic and international purchasing power.
But if you get past the formal business talk, we simply love this event because of the people you get to meet. Site was present in full force with board members, a past president, chapter leaders and dedicated members found actively networking and building business. The opening evening had frosting flying as table teams competed in Cake Wars and then enjoyed wine and chocolate pairings. Site's managing director, Allison Summers, provided a breakfast presentation on "Impactful Incentive Programs", although she believes the attentive audiences was equally focused on planning their strategy to get ITE bucks just as much as they were taking in information on current trends.
In addition to the one-to-one appointments attendees could visit hospitality suites hosted by BASE Entertainment (also our sponsor of our International Conference Show Night), Maverick Aviaition Group, RuME, Smith&Wollensky Restuarant Group, Sunbound, Tumi and of course one of our favorites, Maui Jim Sunglasses (so we could all look stylish when we walk the strip). Of course it is also nothing but the utmost in hospitality from our hosts at THEhotel and Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
